MARSHFIELD – Ed O’Connell is pleased to announce that his campaign for State Representative has been endorsed by the Plymouth County Police Officers Association (P.C.P.O.A.).

“We have unanimously voted to enthusiastically endorse Ed O’Connell for State Representative in the 4th Plymouth District,” said Jay Salhanick, Jeff Richards, Jeff Maligno and Mark Danckert, members of the Board of Directors of the Plymouth County Police Officers Association. “Ed has extensive private and public sector experience. He has been an outstanding Deputy Sheriff, that countless law enforcement officers from all branches of law enforcement local, state, and federal can all attest to.”

“I appreciate the trust and confidence of the Plymouth County Police Officers Association, and I am grateful for their endorsement and support,” said O’Connell. “I am proud of my record of service as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff in Plymouth County for the past eight years. My first-hand experience also makes me extremely appreciative of the hard work and heroic effort of the first responders who keep our streets safe every day. If elected, I will work hard to support their mission and to promote the best interests of Marshfield and Scituate residents.”

O’Connell is a candidate for State Representative in the 4th Plymouth District, which includes the entire town of Marshfield and most of Scituate (precincts 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6). He is a resident of Marshfield and has lived there with his wife and two daughters for the past 24 years. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology and a MBA from Suffolk University’s Sawyer School of Management. He is a long-time employee of the State Treasurer’s Office, and has previously worked in the high-tech industry for the Raytheon Company and General Electric. In addition, for the past eight years, he has been a sworn Reserve Deputy Sheriff for Plymouth County.
